Presto Pesto

It's the end of the season for collecting fresh produce here in Chicago, so my Mom invited me over to  to cut down the remaining basil from her garden.  Since she knows it's my favorite herb of all she didn't want it to go to waste.  I decided that we'd make Classic Pesto since it's my favorite pesto recipe! 

After my Mom, niece and I gathered all the basil, we found that we had enough for a triple batch of pesto...

We tossed the garlic, toasted walnuts, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and basil into the food processor until it was perfectly spreadable and delicious!

It made SO much pesto something tells me that Jared and I will be eating it on everything for a while.
